What is Driver Fortnite?

A Driver is a harvesting tool in Fortnite: Battle Royale that can be obtained in the Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks. Part of the Teed-off Set can be obtained for 500 V-Bucks.

How to update drivers?

You can update graphics cards, motherboards, and anything else on your PC by following these steps.

Maintaining your drivers may seem like a hassle, but we all need to do it. When it comes to updating your drivers, it is not always obvious, especially for people without strong IT backgrounds and with all the sites out there deploying malicious software with Nvidia signatures. The right way to update drivers is to do so to ensure a smooth process.

This guide will give you the tools you need to update the most commonly used drivers and provide some general tips for dealing with any issues that may arise. While most of the information applies to any Windows PC, the guide is geared toward gaming PCs.

How to upgrade NVidia drivers?

If your PC has one, you want to keep your Nvidia GeForce graphics drivers up to date. There are often performance improvements for new games or fixes for issues caused by Windows updates in new releases.

Nvidia Update used to be available in the Nvidia control panel, but that option has been removed with the introduction of GeForce Experience. When you set up Nvidia’s drivers, you’ll still be prompted to install the Nvidia control panel. Still, you’ll need to update the drivers through GeForce Experience or manually download and install the driver from Nvidia’s website.

If you want to update from the GeForce Experience launcher, log in (create an account if you don’t already have one), click on the Drivers tab at the top left, then click Check for Updates on the right. The benefit of installing GeForce Experience on your PC is that it will automatically check for updates and notify you if a new driver is available.

But if you don’t like having to log into GeForce Experience every time you need to update a driver, you can go to Nvidia’s driver page to manually download the latest version.

Alternatively, you can clean install the drivers available on both AMD and Nvidia installers if you select custom installation.

In conclusion, if you switch GPU brands or have other issues and want to clean out your system, we recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller to remove remnants of AMD, Intel, and Nvidia GPU driver. It’s sometimes the only way to be sure.

When downloading the DDU, click on the Official Download link, not the Update Display Driver button, as the latter isn’t what we’re talking about.

How to upgrade drivers on AMD?

AMD’s driver software is also supposed to automatically check for updates in the background and notify you when updates are available, much like Nvidia’s drivers do. If that’s not happening or you want to be specific, here’s how to manually check for (and install) an update:

  • Select AMD Radeon Settings from the right-click menu of the Windows desktop.
  • Click on the Updates button at the bottom left of the window.
  • Select the Check for updates option.
  • A list of all available versions will appear if an update is available. AMD sometimes releases optional updates for those who want the latest and greatest, but most people should stick with the recommended drivers. Select Express upgrade, then click Recommended.

Your drivers may be corrupted if you can’t see the Radeon Settings. Go to AMD’s support website and download the appropriate drivers for your graphics card. You may be able to resolve any issues after a fresh installation.

If you experience any strange behavior or reduced performance, a clean installation may be a better choice (something we’ve experienced multiple times). You can always rely on DDU when you need to pull out the sledgehammer.

How to update drivers for peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc.)?

Almost all keyboards, mice, microphones, and controllers communicate using a generic USB interface, so they do not need additional drivers out of the box (and Windows Update handles the generic drivers).

If you buy an accessory that can be customized, like a mouse with extra buttons or a keyboard with extra keys, you might need some software to use the accessory. The box or product page of the accessory should specify what application is required for full functionality, but here are some examples:

  • Logitech Gaming Software: For customizing controls, LED lights, and more for most Logitech ‘G’ gaming products.
  • Logitech Options: Configuration tool for most of Logitech’s non-gaming mice, keyboards, and other products.
  • Corsair issue: Customize lighting effects, macros, and more for most Corsair products.
  • Razer Synapse: An integrated configuration tool for Razer accessories, laptops, keyboards, etc.
  • It is always good to download the needed software from the manufacturer’s website rather than a rehosting site. When installing drivers, some rehosting sites bundle bloatware, malware, or other extraneous software.

How can everything else be updated?

Generally, most of your drivers are constantly updated in the background with the built-in Windows Update service. As long as you use a device that offers updates through Windows Update, you shouldn’t have any problems keeping your drivers up-to-date.

To find out if your PC needs any updates, including driver updates, follow these steps:

  • Go to the Start button on the Windows taskbar
  • Click the Settings icon (it’s a gear symbol)
  • Click Updates & Security, then click Check for updates.

Conclusion

In Fortnite: Battle Royale, this same Driver gathering tool costs 500 V-Bucks in the item store, 2,100 V-Bucks in NickEh30’s Locker Bundle, or 2,200 V-Bucks in Pulga’s Locker Bundle. Driver, a component of the Teed Off Setting, was initially made available in Season 8.
